Singapore Airlines locks in 4th daily Brisbane service
- Singapore to Brisbane services to rise from 25 per week to 28 per week

Singapore Airlines will expand its number of services to Brisbane, locking in 4 flights per day, in a major boost for Queensland’s connectivity, tourism industry and the state’s exporters.
The changes from June 16 will see the number of weekly services rise from 25 per week, to 28 per week, which is back to pre-pandemic levels for the first time in five years.
Brisbane Airport Chief Executive Officer, Mr Gert-Jan de Graaff, welcomed the boost in flight capacity.
"This is a milestone announcement delivering four services per day, every day, marking the end of a long five-year recovery on this critical route for Queensland,” said Mr de Graaff.
“The Singapore to Brisbane connection is our second busiest international route, bringing a constant flow of tourists from across Asia and Europe to Queensland.
“Last year, more than half of all visitors from India to Brisbane travelled via Singapore Airlines.”
Minister for the Environment and Tourism, Minister for Science and Innovation Andrew Powell echoed his support of the capacity expansion, highlighting the benefits it will bring to Queensland's tourism industry and Brisbane travellers.
“We are thrilled that our investment via the Attracting Aviation Investment Fund is returning these dividends,” said Minister Powell.
“This means more international visitors coming to our great state, and greater choice for Queenslanders heading offshore.
“It’s also extra capacity for our awesome exporters, with more direct flights to get their produce to market in Asia.”
Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President South West Pacific, Mr Louis Arul commented on the expansion: "Travel demand has been strong as Brisbane continues to grow as a major gateway and Queensland gains significance as a global destination for business and leisure.
“Singapore Airlines is pleased to offer more options for travellers to Singapore and connect to over 110 cities globally via Singapore Changi Airport.”

It comes as Brisbane Airport recorded its busiest month in the International Terminal on record, with 631,510 passengers travelling through the terminal in December 2024. The previous highest month was January 2020 with 620,164 passengers. December’s international travel numbers were up 17.7% on the previous year.
The enhanced frequency from Singapore Airlines using Airbus A350-900 aircraft offers travellers greater flexibility, convenience, and seamless connectivity through Brisbane. Passengers will now be able to enjoy a daily service from Brisbane that offers the fastest onward connections to London, Zurich, and Rome, along with improved connectivity to destinations such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Johannesburg.
Schedule details for the flight frequency increase:
- The additional services will operate on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from Brisbane to Singapore, commencing 16 June 2025.
- SQ265 will depart Singapore Changi Airport at 07:10 local time and arrive in Brisbane at 16:45.
- The return flight, SQ266, will depart Brisbane at 18:10 and arrive in Singapore Changi Airport at 00:10 the next morning.
