Search for Brisbane’s next top model takes off at Airport Village

Brisbane Airport, in partnership with Vivien’s Model Management, is on the hunt for Brisbane’s next top model with the launch of the ‘Airport Village Model Search’ competition on 1 October 2011.

Hundreds of young men and women are expected to ‘strut’ their stuff in an effort to impress the judges and seize the opportunity to kick start their modelling career.

The winner will receive an introduction to Vivien’s Model Management’s Brisbane agency, a professional photo shoot with hair, make-up and styling valued at $1,200, catwalk lessons with renowned choreographer Bernie Bagley valued at $250, and $1000 worth of prizes and vouchers from Airport Village.

Manager of Vivien’s Model Management Sandra Robbins said she is eager to uncover hidden talent entering the competition.

“It’s a great opportunity for aspiring young models to show Brisbane what they can do. It’s a really accessible platform for young people to see if they like modelling and have what it takes, and for us to find the untapped talent – so we are really excited to see what happens,” she said.

Entrants must have no former professional modelling experience and be aged between 16 – 22 years. Entry forms and full terms and conditions can be downloaded from www.airportvillage.com.au.

Entrants must bring the completed entry form, a recent head shot and a full length photograph along with them on the day.

The Model Search commences from 10am to 12pm on the day followed by a free fashion show at 1pm hosted by Airport Village.

Professionally styled by Liz Golding, the parade will showcase this season’s hottest trends from DFO and prove that you don’t have to spend a fortune to look a million dollars.

Airport Village will also draw the winner of its $5000 ‘Win a Fashion Package’ competition on the day. Just spend $20 at an Airport Village retailer to receive a form to enter the competition. See www.airportvillage.com.au for terms and conditions. Entries close Saturday 1 October 2011.

Home to brand names such as Charlie Brown, Country Road, Metalicus, Seafolly, Tommy Hilfiger and many more, Brisbane Airport DFO houses Brisbane’s largest selection of brand name outlet retailers in one convenient location.

Aside from a vast range of retail fashion options Airport Village offers shoppers:

Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Limited (BAC) General Manager Property, Renaye Peters, said Airport Village is coming of age, and that the precinct has something for everyone with the growing range of amenities and retailers onsite.

“Airport Village has grown into a quality retail district that’s easily accessible, convenient and has the ability to meet all consumer needs,” Ms Peters said.

“The Airport Village Model Search is the beginning of many more exciting developments you will see at Airport Village as we aim to strengthen our connectivity with our surrounding community and build the offerings onsite,” she said.

Airport Village is located in Northern Brisbane, just off Airport Drive.
