Passion Key Ingredient at Masterclass Weekend

Taste buds will be in for a treat at Airport Village’s 2nd Annual Christmas Masterclass Weekend featuring three of Australia’s culinary masters on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 December.

Celebrity chef Alastair McLeod and MasterChef favourites, Justine Schofield and Adam Liaw have planned a selection of mouth-watering recipes.

Alastair McLeod said his recipes celebrate the time of year with fresh, in-season ingredients and simple grills.

“For me Christmas is all about spending time with family and not about spending 11 hours in the kitchen. Christmas cooking should be light and vibrant and fresh,” Alastair said.

Alastair said he encourages cooks of all skill levels to come and join in the fun at the Masterclass Weekend.

“There are not too many secrets to good cooking, but I hope to dispense them all. Cooking is only 5 per cent technical - the rest is made up of confidence and passion.”

The special recipes feature ingredients available for purchase at Airport Village. While Christmas-inspired, the recipes can be cooked all year round, including:

Free samples will be available on the weekend, and those attending will also receive a take away recipe book so they can try out their favourite recipes at home.

Budding mini-chefs are also welcome and will be kept entertained with free gingerbread decorating between 10am - 3pm each day.

There’s no need to book to attend the Masterclass Weekend just turn up on the day!
