Applications have today opened for Brisbane community groups to apply for funding for projects which make our city a better place to live.

The Brisbane Airport Community Giving Fund provides grant funding of up to $5000 to community groups, organisations and schools for projects which align with any of the following categories:

Enquiring Minds – projects that inspire and support the younger generation to grow and learn

Protecting our Planet – projects that preserve, protect and celebrate our natural environment

Connecting Community – projects that enable community groups to enrich the diversity of Greater Brisbane and support improved accessibility for people of all abilities and backgrounds

Health & Wellbeing – projects that celebrate and support our healthy Queensland lifestyle

“Come to us with your best and brightest ideas. At Brisbane Airport our mission is to Connect the World and Create the Future and we are keen to support local organisations on a mission to change the world from the community up,” according to Gert-Jan de Graaff, CEO of Brisbane Airport Corporation.

Overall, Brisbane Airport Corporation is providing $800,000 in sponsorship and partnerships to a wide-range of community-focussed organisations this financial year.

BAC sponsors The Royal Flying Doctor Service and RACQ LifeFlight and is currently investing $72 million in the construction of a world-class aeromedical facility featuring new patient transfer facilities to serve the people of Queensland.
