The Golden Arches of McDonald’s Australia are ready to rise for the first time at Brisbane Airport’s Domestic Terminal this summer.

It’s one of 10 new food and beverage destinations opening in the coming months as part of the airport’s terminal redevelopment.

Last year, 16 million passengers passed through the transport hub, which is the most connected Domestic Terminal in Australia.

Taste buds of travellers will be tantalised by the inviting combination of McDonald’s globally renowned classics made with locally sourced Australian produce.

The new Macca’s restaurant will also feature a McCafé, offering customers an additional selection of delicious and convenient options.

Martin Ryan, Executive General Manager of Commercial, Brisbane Airport, said he was thrilled to welcome McDonald’s to the Domestic Terminal.

“If there is one thing BNE travellers have been asking for it’s a Maccas! It has consistently remained the most requested retailer and we couldn’t be more delighted to deliver.

“The terminal redevelopment is part of the $5 billion Brisbane Airport is investing in Future BNE. This stage of the project will deliver new and revamped food and beverage experiences, upgraded amenities and fresh gate lounge seating areas for passengers while they wait for their flights” he said. maccas render

Located in the heart of the Food Court opposite Gate 41, the glow of the Golden Arches adorning windows on the first level will guide visitors to the new outlet.

User-friendly kiosks also feature, providing guests with unrivalled convenience and speed.

The new McDonald’s at the Domestic Terminal is injecting $7 million into the local economy and creating over 100 jobs.

Alex Carapetis, Regional Director – North Region, McDonald’s Australia, said:

“We are excited to open our doors on McDonald’s Brisbane Airport Domestic and provide a space for travellers to enjoy a meal or coffee while they move through the airport.

“Every McDonald’s restaurant is committed to supporting the local community through providing jobs, training and development opportunities. We're currently hiring a variety of crew, barista, management and maintenance roles in restaurants right across Brisbane."

“We are passionate about supporting the professional development of our people and providing workplace skills applicable to any career, so apply today to join the crew!”
