Domestic Terminal Update

Domestic Terminal 1

All passengers have been rescreened at Brisbane Airport’s Domestic Terminal, after the terminal was cleared late this afternoon.

Domestic flights have resumed.

At 4:27pm today, a technical fault was identified in a single metal detector, however 43 people had passed through security during the brief fault.

To maintain the integrity of the sterile area, and with safety as our highest priority, all passengers and staff in the terminal were asked to exit and undergo rescreening.

At no time was there any safety or security risk to passengers.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

Flights at the International Terminal remain unaffected.
