Brisbane Airport Corporation has signed the largest cleaning contract in BNE’s history, appointing Trident Services Australia as the new Cleaning and Minor Maintenance service provider.

The service contract includes cleaning at Brisbane’s Domestic Terminal, International Terminal, Carparks, BNE Service Centre, Kingsford Smith Memorial, Airport Operations Centre, Airport Freight Centre, General Aviation Terminal, Skygate Shopping Centre, DFO Carparks and BAC administration offices.

It also involves street sweeping parts of the BNE precinct, where 24,000 people come to work each day, and 60,000 travellers pass through.

“Ensuring our facilities are clean and safe is of the highest importance to us,” according to Krishan Tangri, Executive General Manager Infrastructure & Planning at Brisbane Airport Corporation.

“In 2022, Brisbane Airport won the Skytrax Airport Award for The Cleanest Airport and this is certainly an area we take pride in. We look forward to working with Trident Services Australia to maintain high standards across the airport.”

Trident has been providing quality facilities management services to the retail, commercial and aviation sectors for the past 25 years, and currently services 12 airports.

Its 2000+ strong workforce delivers professional services to more than 45 sites in Queensland, New South Wales, and Northern Territory. Trident is an Australian owned and Queensland operated company.

As part of its innovative service solution, Trident Services Australia is creating Queensland’s first purpose built and dedicated Training Centre for cleaners at Brisbane Airport.

“Additionally, the dedicated Trident site management team is passionate about driving the service offering towards continuous improvements in the areas of sustainability, safety and efficiency, keeping people and property safe.”

The contract will begin 1 October 2023 and run until at least 2026.
