Congratulations for RFDS ‘Hall of Fame’ Induction

Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Limited (BAC) extends its hearty congratulations to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) of Australia following its induction into the Queensland Business Leader’s Hall of Fame overnight.

Launched in 2009, the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame recognises the public contribution made by leaders of business and leading businesses to the reputation of Queensland and the development of its economy.

The RFDS was selected for induction into the Hall of Fame in recognition of its iconic contribution to rural health and rural community building in Australia through exceptional standards of service and innovation.

BAC has always had a strong working relationship with the RFDS since it set up its Queensland head-quarters at the airport in 1995, prior to becoming the Principle Sponsor for the RFDS in 2009.

BAC CEO and Managing Director, Julieanne Alroe said: “This is a wonderful achievement for an iconic Australian institution which has grown from humble beginnings to deliver vital health services to hundreds of thousands of people located in rural and remote areas of our state since its inception.

“It is a well-deserved tribute to each and every one of the resilient and courageous pilots and medical staff who frequently operate in hazardous situations 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” Ms Alroe said.
