Celebrity trio host free airport village Christmas masterclass

Three of Australia’s culinary masters will celebrate the spirit of the season and reveal their secrets for the perfect Christmas meal at a free Christmas Masterclass Weekend at Airport Village on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 December.

Celebrity chef Alastair McLeod is returning for the second year in a row showing off even more tips and tricks for the perfect Christmas banquet.

Joining Alastair is MasterChef series one favourite, Justine Schofield, and series two winner, Adam Liaw, who will each be holding their own Masterclasses on Australian Christmas food favourites.

Ingredients used in the live demonstrations will be available for purchase from Airport Village so those inspired can rush home and cook up their own feast.

The demonstrations will be spiced up with audience challenges and giveaways, as well as wine matches, meat preparation tips and nutrition segments.

Free samples will be available on the weekend, and those attending will also receive a take away recipe book so they can try out their favourite recipes at home.

Budding mini-chefs are also welcome and will be kept entertained with free gingerbread decorating between 10am - 3pm each day.

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) General Manager Property Renaye Peters said Airport Village is the place for all your Christmas shopping and the Christmas Masterclass Weekend will have something for the whole family.

“The Christmas Masterclass Weekend is going to be fantastic and it is very exciting to have Alastair, Adam and Justine at Airport Village,” she said.

“Not only will we have the cooking demonstrations and sampling, but there will be fun activities for the kids to enjoy and entertainment throughout the day.

“Christmas is all about family and Airport Village has something for everyone.”
