Brisbane Airport donates $250,000 to flood victims

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) announced today it will make a donation of $250,000 to the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal, to assist the victims of the Queensland floods.

BAC CEO and Managing Director, Julieanne Alroe, said BAC wanted to help the Queenslanders who have been tragically affected by these floods.

“So many of the people affected use Brisbane Airport as the gateway to Queensland, whether it be for their businesses or personal travel. For this reason we are determined to offer support and assistance to our fellow Queenslander’s in their time of need,” she said.

“Furthermore, the affected areas are in many ways the lifeblood of Queensland, offering resources and tourist hotspots, attracting visitors from across the globe to our State.

“As a prominent Queensland corporation we are eager to assist in helping the relief effort, and I implore other companies to do the same.

“Our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery are with the people of Queensland,” Ms Alroe said.
