Jetstar’s inaugural flight to Uluru took off from Brisbane Airport (BNE) this morning, heralding the beginning of three times weekly flights between Brisbane and the beating heart of Australia.

The new flights operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will inject more than 55,000 return seats into the market each year, enhancing Brisbane’s regional reach and providing a convenient gateway for international travellers to Australia’s world renowned Uluru.

Accommodating both point-to-point traffic and domestic connections, the flights are also timed to connect with a number of international arrivals across BNE’s network.

Since its launch in 2004 Jetstar’s presence in Brisbane has increased each year with the airline now offering more than 300 flights a week to 12 destinations throughout Australia, accounting for 62,000 return seats per annum, with one out of every six passengers now flying to/from BNE with Jetstar.
