Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) is excited to release a Request for Proposal (RFP), inviting best in class Food and Beverage (F&B) operators for ten opportunities within the Domestic Terminal of Brisbane Airport.

Opportunities include a new contemporary bar concept, located on the highly coveted glass windows in the Southern Terminal, allowing customers the opportunity to sip cocktails while watching planes take-off and land.

Martin Ryan, BAC Executive General Manager Commercial, said the successful retailers will join the BNE community at an incredibly exciting time.

“We are very pleased to announce the next stage in the evolution of Brisbane Airport’s Food and Beverage offer. It's been amazing to see the incredible bounce back of domestic travellers post-COVID, and the fervour in which they have taken to the new cuisines and offers we released in the Northern Terminal in 2019.

"We will build upon this and take the offer to the next level again, with the release of not only these 10 F&B sites, but the integration and upgrade of gate lounge seating. This will create an improved customer experience for all passengers travelling through the Domestic Terminal.”

As part of this retail evolution, a new espresso bar will be added, serving the best of Brisbane’s famous coffee scene, plus an all-day dining restaurant in the spectacular Southern satellite location, which predominantly services Virgin passengers.

Seven locations within the bustling Southern Food Court are also available for quick service restaurant brands, catering for high volumes of passengers on their departing and returning journey to Brisbane.

BAC is seeking responses from Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), bar, and café operators for opportunities ranging from approximately 20sqm to 400+sqm, in prominent locations post-security.

Brisbane Airport’s Domestic Terminal serves 17.7 million passengers each year, connecting to 53 Australian destinations which is the largest domestic network in Australia.

The Domestic Terminal is experiencing its strongest performance ever, with F&B Passenger Spend Rates out-performing pre-COVID numbers.

Brisbane Airport is a sustainability leader, recently entering into an historic six-year agreement to secure power that is linked to renewable energy, as part its commitment to be net zero for scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025.

The RFP will close at 4pm AEST on Tuesday, 28 February 2023. For more details, visit bne.com.au
