BAC appoints new aviation business development roles

Monday 8 July 2013: Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) has announced changes to its Aviation Business Development team, establishing two new roles within the group - Aviation Business Development Manager Australasia and Aviation Business Development Manager International.

Ben James has been appointed to the Aviation Business Development Manager International with Maaike van der Windt appointed to the Aviation Business Development Manager Australasia.

Andrew Brodie who, from 1 August, will head up the team in the newly created position of General Manager, Airline and Commercial Businesses said splitting the regions allows BAC to focus equally on its Domestic and International partners within specified areas.

“With an additional resource on the team we will have further reach to strengthen our existing relationships and to identify and secure future airline capacity and new markets for Brisbane Airport in line with growing demand.

“Both Ben and Maaike will be travelling extensively and look forward to meeting with key decision makers to identify new opportunities and leverage Brisbane as the city of choice for airlines,” he said.

Both Ben and Maaike officially assume their new roles from 1 August 2013.
