4WD Supacentre drives growth with move to Brisbane Airport
Fast-growing outdoor and camping retailer 4WD Supacentre is set to relocate its operations to Brisbane Airport, completing the first stage of the Airport Industrial Park.
The new purpose-built facility will occupy a 47,071m2 site in Airport Industrial Park and will provide up to 1,000 jobs onsite during construction.
Construction of the 20,000m2 warehouse will start in May, with the development targeting 5 Star Green Star alignment through sustainable design elements such as 350kw solar, rainwater harvesting for toilet flushing and irrigation, water efficient fixtures and fittings, and translucent sheeting to the warehouse roof to maximise natural light into the building.
4WD Supacentre is the final tenant to secure space in Stage One, with leasing now underway for the 25 hectare second stage of Airport Industrial Park.
Brisbane Airport Executive General Manager Commercial Scott Norris said Airport Industrial Park offered exceptional opportunities for warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing.
“By establishing a new base at Brisbane Airport, 4WD Supacentre will benefit from enhanced logistics connectivity and a purpose-built facility designed to support its growing operations and future growth,” he said.
“The relocation also completes Stage One at Airport Industrial Park, reinforcing its appeal as Brisbane’s newest premium industrial precinct.”
4WD Supacentre CEO Christian Rolfe said the company had outgrown its existing premises in Brendale.
“Queenslanders love getting out and exploring, whether it’s camping, four-wheel driving or heading off on a weekend adventure.
“A significant increase in sales has meant we’ve outgrown our current location and need a bigger warehouse space to meet consumer demand.
“This new facility will give us the much-needed space to grow as we move into our next phase of expansion, as demand continues to rise for our range of off-road, camping and outdoor adventure products across Australia.”
4WD Supacentre’s Brisbane Airport distribution centre will open mid-2027.
