BNE’s Popular Ecofair back again at Skygate for the holidays

Budding green thumbs, bee keepers, worm farmers and future eco-warriors will be in their element again these school holidays at Brisbane Airport’s second annual EcoFair, being held at Skygate, near DFO, from Monday 25 – Thursday 28 September between 10 am and 3 pm daily.

This FREE event has something for everyone with a series of sustainability themed exhibitions, demonstrations and activities aimed at inspiring, educating and entertaining people of all ages by showcasing simple and fun ways to incorporate eco-living principles into everyday life.

Daily activities include:

Monday 25 Sept: Bike powered smoothies, free succulent plant giveaway, kokedama ball making, BMW display, as well as paper planes activity.

Tuesday 26 Sept: Cooking demonstrations, free plant giveaway, food waste and composting, puppet making, tote bag activity and paper planes.

Wednesday 27 Sept: Animal Rescue display, wildlife display, face painting, free plant giveaway, make your own ‘grass head’ person, tote bag activity and paper planes.

Thursday 28 Sept: Kokedama ball making, grow your own vegies, keeping chooks, bees and honey demonstration, free plant giveaway, water display, paper planes and hopscotch.

All events will be held at Skygate next to DFO Brisbane Airport.

Workshops will be available out the front of Woolworths and opposite the kid’s play-scape in the Skygate Dining Precinct.
